Introducing Uncorked Magazine

What started as a random car conversation on a road trip to an English vineyard is now a magazine I can hold in my hands. Seeing our idea come to life in print is an incredible feeling.

The first issue of Uncorked Magazine is officially out, and I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you.

I started my wine journey into English and Welsh wine later in life. After a career in agriculture, I stepped into the wine world with so much to learn. I studied, I tasted and I asked endless questions, all fuelled by a love for English and Welsh wine that took hold and never let go. Along the way, I found the skills from my past careers had a place here too, and they have deepened my love for the vineyards and the people behind every bottle.

Creating Uncorked has been an absolute joy, especially alongside my co-founder Rebecca Pitcairn, someone who truly understands the incredible industry I am so privileged to work in. Rebecca is Uncorked’s Editorial Director, a journalist and editor of over 20 years, a wine columnist for Sussex Life and the host of The English Wine Diaries podcast. Together, we’ve made something we hope you will read, enjoy and use to discover new wines and explore the world of English and Welsh wine.

What is Uncorked Magazine?

Uncorked is the UK's only lifestyle magazine dedicated to English and Welsh wine, an insider's guide to the UK wine scene. Inside, vineyards, cellar doors, hotels and restaurants come together in one place, so you can discover where to taste, stay, eat and explore.

Autumn/Winter 2026!

Our inaugural autumn/winter edition is made for slower, cosier days. You'll find inspiration for cosy cellar doors and stays, and a town guide to help you plan a trip around the vineyards, with places to visit, eat and sleep close by.

Whether you're dreaming of a night away or a day out, our vineyard directory helps you map your route and arrange your travel plans around the wineries you want to see.

There's also a look at the English reds worth filling your glass with, new releases to seek out for the festive season and beyond, more interviews with people behind the wine, plus books for the wine curious and a competition to win a luxury weekend wine break.

It's a magazine to sit with for a while, much like a good glass of wine, and I hope you'll come back to it time and again. Pour a large glass and enjoy!

Thank you for all your support and happy reading!
